Recreation Program Assistant
Assist Elders to attend and enjoy group programs by offering companionship, encouragement, and support before, during, and after scheduled activities.
Time Commitment:
2-4 hours per week
Euchre Assistant
Support our popular weekly Euchre game by helping with setup, gameplay support, and creating a welcoming social atmosphere.
Time Commitment:
2-4 hours per week.
Creative Companions Volunteer
Share a hobby or passion such as knitting, painting, music, or crafts when it works for your schedule.
Time Commitment:
2-4 hours per week
Student Volunteer
Evening and weekend opportunities to work toward community involvement requirements while building meaningful connections with Elders through companionship, creative projects, and legacy activities.
Time Commitment:
2-4 hours per week
Bike Pilot
We are currently recruiting volunteers to be trained as bike pilots to take Elders for rides in the community. The trishaw bike has a robust 500-watt electric motor and trustworthy gearing selection that will enable pilots the confidence to conquer a wide variety of terrain in style.
Time Commitment:
2 hours
Neighbourhood Helper
Support staff in non-care tasks allowing staff to focus on personal care needs.
Enhance Elder well-being through meaningful interactions and promote socialization.
Foster an inclusive environment for all Elders.
Day Program Assistant
We are currently looking for volunteers to assist our day program staff with many activities at our Petrolia location.
Time Commitment:
Open to volunteers Mondays and Tuesdays.
Lambton County Connects Program Facilitator
Lambton County Connects (LCC) is a phone-based program for individuals in Lambton County. The programs will be facilitated by staff, volunteers, and guest speakers. We are currently looking for volunteers to assist our staff by facilitating phone programs. Each phone program will be 30 minutes.
Tasks will include: facilitating programs over the phone to a group of 8-10 individuals, assisting with creating program content, checking program email, and communicating with members and LCC staff.
Time Commitment:
Monday-Friday. Programs will run anytime from 10 am- 3 pm.
